Project Manager


  • Provides leadership and direction for day-to-day project operations and administrative activities of a Commercial Roofing Company with high standards.




  • Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project

  • Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements

  • Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities

  • Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations

  • Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met

  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies

  • Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities

  • Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed

  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports

  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues

  • Develops and implements operating policies, procedures and systems to support planned operations.

  • Ensures policies are well-documented and communicated to project personnel.

  • Contributes to the design of project management protocols.

  • Evaluates, recommends and implements procedures for data acquisition, management and quality control.

  • Prepares technical reports and papers on submittals, work progress and results.

  • Develops and manages project budgets.

  • Authorizes expenditures and monitors account reconciliation and status to ensure compliance with fiscal guidelines and regulations.

  • Prepares and/or directs the preparation of financial reports as required.

  • Manages staff assigned to project.

  • Plans and staffs project operations based on proposed research activities and timelines.

  • Provides training and technical supervision to staff.

  • Motivates and monitors the progress of work performed by project staff to include senior technical personnel.

  • Identifies funding sources and opportunities.

  • Authors technical proposals and/or works with estimating team to develop project proposals.

  • Plans and participates in meetings, discussion groups and other types of events to promote project visibility.

  • Serves as key resource for project information and resolves problems or questions referred by internal and external sources.

  • Remains informed of the current status of completed and ongoing research in related areas.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s in Business or a related field

  • Minimum Experience: 5 Years

  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Directly related education and project administration experience in specialized field represented by project

  • 5 years in the roof or construction industry
